Adriana Hampton, LMFT. LCDC

Credentials: Licensed Marriage and Family Therapy Licenced Chemical Dependency Counselor
Adriana is a bilingual Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC). She infuses an empowerment perspective into her relationship-focused approach to produce effective counseling for individuals, couples, families, children and parents and youth and adults with disabilities. For the benefit of her clients, Adriana is constantly learning; she has specific training in Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Play Therapy, as well as Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT) narrative training and chemical dependency.
Adriana understands the multitude of relationship dynamics at play; she educates clients on helpful communication skills, conflict resolution, assertiveness training, self-esteem building, and boundary setting. Beyond relationship-focused skills, Adriana provides support to individuals as well. She has a particular affinity for working with clients with trauma. In her previous professional experience, Adriana worked with domestic violence victims, clients with trauma, defiant and oppositional youth, youth on probation, children and adults with disabilities, within an intensive outpatient program and with Child Protective Services.
Adriana drives her clients to engage with their own motivations and intrinsic goals. Within session, you can expect Adriana to engage in a blunt, assertive and cooperative manner. Immersed in both a humorous and candid talk style, Adriana assists a client to prune their unhealthy habits and embrace the life that they live in. While pulling her clients to stand within today’s reality, she empowers them to take the difficult steps forward with non-judgmental grace.
In her mind, there is not only one way to look at things, but rather a kaleidoscope of perspectives. Adriana uses this same idea when engaging with clients: each client is unique and experiences a unique world. It is natural to face challenges; what matters is how we manage the rest of our relationships, commitments, and lives after a large fall.
